Appointment of Xavier Javarel

Xavier Jaravel, Inspector of Finance, has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Conseil d'analyse économique (CAE).

Professor of economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Xavier Jaravel is a recognized specialist in inclusive growth, innovation, inflation, international trade and inequality.

He holds a PhD from Harvard University, and chaired the evaluation commission for the "France relance" plan.

The mission of the Conseil d'analyse économique (CAE), which reports to the Prime Minister, is to provide independent analysis of the government's economic choices.

Composed of renowned economists, it examines issues submitted by public authorities and conducts forward-looking analyses on themes deemed crucial to the country's economic policy.
