Pierre Cunéo is the new Senior Head of Transportation for Paris 2024 Olympics

On June 7, 2023, the Organizing Committee for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games announced the appointment of Pierre Cunéo as Senior Director of Transportation. Reporting directly to Étienne Thobois, CEO of the Games Organizing Committee, he will coordinate the transportation of spectators and accredited guests.

 

A former INSÉÉ administrator and ÉNA student, Pierre Cunéo joined the Inspectorate General of Finances in 2003. In particular, he was appointed deputy head of department (adjoint au chef de service chargé de mission). At the end of his "tournée" in 2007, he was appointed deputy director of the cabinet of Jean-Pierre Jouyet, Secretary for European Affairs. He then held a number of management positions at SNCF, including Chief of Staff to the Director-General Guillaume Pépy, Director of Railway Strategy and Regulation, and Director of RER C. He was then appointed Chief of Staff to the French Minister for Ecology, Delphine Batho, a position he held from 2012 to 2013. He then joined the Thalès group, where he was successively director of strategy and research (2013-2015), director of networks and infrastructure systems (2015-2016), managing director of the protection systems business line (2016-2018) and then vice-president in charge of services and strategy (2018-2020).

 

Returning to the Inspectorate General of Finances between 2020 and 2023, Pierre Cunéo headed the interministerial taskforce for the purchase and production of vaccines against COVID-19. He was appointed Inspector General in June 2023.
